Located within Minken no Mori Park in Machida (near Yakushi-ike Park) there is a Peony Garden with 400 Chinese peonies and 1600 tree peony plants. The plants bloom from mid April to early May, and the park is a great place to practice photographing the "king of flowers". The park also includes a Farming Museum, and the countryside of rolling hills around the park is a very beautiful place for walking.
