On the premises of Nishiyama Park in Sabae city, Fukui, there is a small Konpira Shrine. According to the sign post on its grounds, this shrine was invited here from the famous Konpira Shrine in Kagawa prefecture in 1744. It has been loved by local people since then, and when it became old, was rebuilt in 1960. There is also a stone monument for the people who died from the WWII on the shrine grounds. As the shrine ground is a little bit elevated from the surrounding area, there is an exceptionally wonderful view from here of the beautiful autumn leaves inside Nishiyama Park's Japanese garden.
