If you're planning to travel to northern Okinawa why not skip the Okinawa Expressway and take the road less traveled to see more than tree-lined roads? Iha Park is a medium sized recreational park in Uruma City at the intersection of the Route 329 Bypass and Route 6. It has a long red slide that will beckon any passerby - or at least any passers by that happen to have children aboard. This park is a few years old but appears to be brand new with no wear and tear to be found. Kids will love the giant slide, the playground equipment, the cradle swings, and the jogging paths. Bring a football or soccer ball for the large open fields. The park is open to the public around the clock. There are ten parking stalls and plenty of parking on the surrounding streets.

I've just learned of the Iha Castle Ruins near where Iha Park is and will try to find it soon.
