Whilst visiting Japan, you have to try the sweets; their pastries and cakes are beautiful, light, deliciously sweet, and have flavours that are unique to Japan. Peters Cake Boutique in Karuizawa is around a 10-minute drive from the Hoshino resort and Picchio centre, so if you want to find somewhere new for afternoon tea to bring back, or sit outside, Peters absolutely must be visited - the cakes are too beautiful to pass up. You go in thinking you'll only buy one, and come out with a whole box!

Woooah! This all looks so good. I'm quite a sucker for sweet treats, so this is pretty much heaven for me!
Ha yes me too! It was difficult taking pictures of them, my mouth was watering!

I admire you, Livvy! I always try to take some photos at cake shops, but always feel shy and think - now they will yell at me!! But only once the sales assistant at a honey shop told me not to post photos online!
Aha thank you Olga! I understand that fear- I feel weird, just taking pictures without permission! I asked these people if it was OK, and they seemed pretty eager for me to go ahead, so I did. Besides, if you don't take pictures, at least you can buy all the cakes :P
