If you happen to visit one of Sendai's most interesting sights, Zuihoden, then stop by Zuiho-ji. The temple is also located in Kyogamine Park, about thirty minutes on foot from Sendai Station. What I found especially interesting was that you can't see the main building when you enter through the gate, as there is a big tree right in front of it. If you're as curious as me, you'll definitely walk around the garden a bit to see what's behind that tree.
