The starting point of the hiking course to Takatori-yama is from JR Higashi Zushi Station on the Yokosuka Line. Go toward Jinmu-ji Temple and pass through the temple precincts. Takatori-yama is only 139m above sea level, but to reach the top you have to walk along some very narrow paths and along side some steep rocks. Please enjoy an exhilarating 30-minute walk! The top of the hill has an observatory, as well as training cliffs for rock climbing. From the observatory, you have a 360-degree view, including that of a big stone statue cut into the cliffs. It was made by a local sculptor in 1961. A hiking map is available at Zushi Municipal hall near Keikyu Zushi Station
